Ugo Mozie is a young stylist who has worked hard to establish himself in the fashion world and urban culture. Born on November 16, 1991 in Enugu State Nigeria, at the age of 3 Ugo Mozie moved to Los Angeles California with his family. In 2005 he got his first modelling gig with the help of mega hip hop mogul Jay-Z at age 14 modelling at an Urban Modelling tour where he worked with the likes of G-unit and Sean John. The popularly known young iconic fashion legend has taken the international fashion scene by storm. Ugo is an advanced stylist with strong passion for tailored suits and high-end menswear. A risk-taker that always positively push his clients to shine – which has gained him immense respect and report that makes him a young leader in style and fashion.
In 2009 his love for fashion took him to New York City at a very young age of about 16, he was instating the concept of his unique style all around the city. In 2011 at age 18 Ugo Mozie collaborated with Quinn Aston his best friend and business partner debuting his first fashion line “Aston Mozie” expressing his style in each piece. In 2014 he was appointed the United States P.R Director to the Fashion House of the iconic Vivienne Westwood. A year later in 2015, Ugo Mozie released his luxury hat line which has graced the heads of many A-listers including Justin Bieber, Celine Dione, Travis Scott, Beyoncé, and so many more.
He is multi-talented as he has worked in Television Series previously such as Sex and the City, Dateline News, 51st Grammy Awards and Tribeca Film Festival, and his contribution to WAD, Ghubar and 360 Magazine where he was popularly recognized for his contributions as a Fashion Editor. Apart from being one of America’s hottest stylists, he is also a fashion designer, hat designer, jewelry designer and creative director. He styles shoots and editorials for celebrities such as Wale and brands all around the world.
Ugo Mozie envisaged himself being at the forefronts of the fashion world today. He is a trend setter through his styling and creative direction. He travels all over the world discovering new cultures which he incorporates into himself and his life. He loves and gets inspiration from Paris France. He believes in making his own way in the fashion industry with his clothes and styling choices. To him, expressing yourself is more important that going according to the rules of the fashion week’s do’s and don’ts. His Nigerian heritage influences him as you can see from his name Ugo which means “Eagle”. He soars high like an eagle, he loves Michael Jackson and has said in an interview that his ideal style will be a balance and mix between the iconic Michael Jackson and Fela Kuti.
He balances all his responsibilities so well which gives him icon status, he has styled so many celebrities including the much loved Chris Brown, Larry King and his hat line has graced the heads of A-listers such as Gabrielle Union Wade, Floyd Mayweather, Mary J Blige, and the list goes on. No wonder he has been featured in many international and local magazines for his contributions to the fashion and style industry all around the world. He also writes music and loves public speaking.
